Our Quality and Expertise is Rare
CareMed is committed to delivering the highest standards of quality, safety, and care for patients with rare, ultra-rare, and complex disease. Our national accreditations validate this commitment and demonstrate our dedication to excellence in specialty pharmacy services, industry standard compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement in operations.

Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is a nonprofit accreditation organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice, and DMEPOS and a quality management system that is ISO 9001:2015 certified. ACHC has become synonymous with value, integrity, and the industry’s best customer service. On-site accreditation surveys are conducted every three years by ACHC Surveyors who possess industry-specific experience. They follow a comprehensive review process that looks at organizational structure, policies and procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws.

NABP’s Digital Pharmacy Accreditation (formerly known as Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites®) shows CareMed’s commitment to safe pharmacy practices over the internet. To be awarded the Digital Pharmacy Accreditation, the pharmacy organization participated in a thorough review process and on-site survey, which included: verification of the pharmacy’s online presence and medication-related websites, licensure review, and compliance with NABP criteria for legitimate online pharmacy practice. Re-accreditation currently in process.

URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission) is an independent, nonprofit accreditation entity, based in Washington, DC, and its mission is to advance health care quality through leadership, accreditation, measurement, and innovation. URAC was founded in 1990 as an independent, third-party health care quality validator.

URAC Rare
URAC developed a Rare Disease Certification (originally a Designation) for organizations that rise to the challenge of meeting the highest level of skills needed to serve patients with rare diseases. The unique certification was developed with the input of rare disease experts, including NORD—The National Organization for Rare Disorders — to ensure the distinction reflects current and proven best practices. CareMed is proud to hold this URAC Rare Disease Certification.
