Supporting Cardiomyopathy Awareness
This month, we’re recognizing individuals living with cardiomyopathy and the challenges they face navigating treatment, access, and daily life. We’re proud to support patients throughout their treatment journey and help connect them with the resources they need.
Barrier to Quickly Access a Promising New Therapy
Rather than leaving her to navigate the situation alone, we stepped in and worked directly with her to complete the manufacturer enrollment paperwork and explored every available option to help her gain access to her treatment and avoid surgery that had previously been under consideration.
As we navigated the coverage challenges, we identified another concern. She would soon be transitioning from commercial insurance to Medicare, creating additional uncertainty about future access. Our team took the time to answer her questions, explain how Medicare Part D would work, and helped her understand what to expect during the transition.
To ensure there would be no interruption in therapy, we secured a bridge supply through the manufacturer while her coverage issues were being resolved, and her insurance transition was completed. This allowed her to begin treatment without delay.
When she found out that her selected Medicare prescription plan (that would take effect soon) might not cover her medication, our support didn’t stop there. We began researching options, exploring pathways to coverage, and advocating for continued access to therapy.
Throughout the process our goal remained the same, to help her maintain uninterrupted treatment while providing guidance, support, and peace of mind during a complex insurance transition. She later shared her appreciation, describing our team as “so efficient and caring.”

For patients living with cardiomyopathy, access to treatment can be complicated. Our dedicated team works behind the scenes every day to remove barriers, coordinate care, and help patients stay on their much-needed therapy.
Because every beat matters.
